Privacy Policy

Overview

Muhasib ("the app", "we", "our") is a personal and business finance tracker developed for iOS, Android, and web. This policy explains what happens to information when you use it. It applies wherever you access Muhasib.

Muhasib is built offline-first: every wallet, transaction, budget, reminder, invoice, receipt, and business record you create is written to a database that lives only on your device. There is no Muhasib account to create, no sign-in, and no Muhasib server your financial data ever travels to.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, transmit, or have any access to:

• Your transactions, wallets, business accounts, budgets, or planning data
• Names, amounts, or notes attached to payables, receivables, invoices, or receipts
• Your business profile — name, logo, address, phone, or email you enter for invoices
• Analytics, usage tracking, or behavioral data of any kind
• Advertising identifiers — Muhasib carries no ads and no ad SDKs

There's nothing here to build a profile from, because we never receive it in the first place.

What's on your device

Everything you enter is stored in a local SQLite database inside the app's own sandboxed storage, governed by your operating system's protections — the same ones covering any other app's private files. Nothing here syncs to iCloud, Google Drive, or any Muhasib-operated service unless your device's own OS-level backup does so as part of a full device backup you control.

In-app purchases

Muhasib Pro is sold as a subscription or one-time purchase through Apple's App Store or Google Play — never through a payment system of our own. When you buy or restore a purchase, the following happens:

• Apple or Google processes your payment directly. Muhasib never receives or stores your card details.
• We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchase and keep Pro unlocked across reinstalls. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, device-generated identifier and your purchase receipt — not your name, email, or financial data from within the app.

Notifications

Reminders for upcoming bills, due payables, and receivables are scheduled locally on your device using your OS's own notification system. They are generated and delivered entirely on-device — no reminder content is sent to, or through, any Muhasib server.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with anyone, because we never hold it to begin with. The only third parties involved in operating Muhasib are:

• Apple / Google — process app distribution and in-app payments
• RevenueCat — validates purchase receipts, as described in Section 4

Neither receives your transactions, balances, or any content you record inside the app.

Children's privacy

Muhasib is a general-audience finance tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — child or adult — since the app collects no personal information at all in the course of normal use.

Retention & deletion

Your data is retained for as long as it sits in the app's local storage — entirely under your control. Deleting a record inside Muhasib removes it immediately. Uninstalling the app deletes the entire database along with it. Because nothing is mirrored on a server we operate, there is no separate "delete my account" request to make — removing the app is the deletion.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Muhasib doesn't hold any of your financial data on a server, so those actions are already fully in your hands, at all times, inside the app itself — export it, edit it, or delete it as you like.

Changes to this policy

If Muhasib's data practices change — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud backup — this page will be updated first, with a new effective date above, before that feature ships.
